Realtime Issue
for Jira Cloud
Introduction
Note that the App is for Jira Cloud.
This app enhances your Jira experience by providing real-time insights into who else is viewing an issue you’re working on, helping prevent parallel edits and potential conflicts.
As you view an issue, the app displays a live list of other users currently on the same page, so you’re aware of active viewers and can coordinate work more efficiently.
In addition to viewer tracking, the app keeps you updated on changes made to the issue, sending instant notifications when updates are applied. This ensures you stay in sync with any adjustments, comments, or status changes, so you won’t miss crucial information that may impact your work.
Designed to improve collaboration, reduce duplication of effort, and streamline the editing process, this tool is essential for teams handling high volumes of Jira issues or working in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
Whether you're managing a complex project or tracking smaller tasks, this app makes staying informed simple and efficient.
Installation
The installation is as usual. Go to apps, find the app, and use the install button to get the app deployed on your host.
When installed, click Configure or Getting Started. This will take you to the main App page.
Prepare
On an issue you might have to add the panel under Apps. Otherwise everything works out of the box.
Usage
The panel looks like this. In the panel it says "Wilton (Young Plugins) is current viewing the issue".
If more people are viewing, they will be printed as well.
If another user performs an edit/update of the issue, then the current will be notified, e.g. if summary is updated:
